4. Data collection on our website

4.1. Cookies

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser during your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping basket function), are stored on the basis of Section 6 Par. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

4.2. Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are
  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address
  • These data will not be merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Section 6, par. 1 lit. (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

4.3. Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is thus carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Section 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this already granted consent at any time. An informal e-mail is sufficient. The legality of the data processing procedures up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

4.4. Application portal

In our applicant portal you will find job advertisements for which you can apply by e-mail. When you decide to apply for this position, you don't only send us your personal data but also information on your academic and professional background. The transmission of all documents is voluntary. Data processing is also used to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship in accordance with § 26 par. 1 GDPR-new

When your application documents are sent by e-mail, they are automatically read out and recorded in our applicant management system. All documents sent together with your application (cover letter, curriculum vitae, certificates and other evidence), as well as the information contained therein are stored.

If you send us your application documents in person or by post, we first digitise them and then also record them in our applicant management system. The original documents will be returned to you immediately.

In the event of a successful application, your application documents will be included in the personnel file. If your application was not successful, we will keep it for up to 6 months after completion of the application process and destroy it in accordance with data protection regulations. If we wish to keep your application documents longer, we will obtain your consent separately.
